Mrs. Robyn Shelton
Hello! I teach 7th grade Life Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Human Anatomy & Physiology here at Woodville High School. I am also a Junior Class Sponsor and the Prom Sponsor. This is my seventeenth year teaching. My first year teaching, 2005-2006, was at Paint Rock Valley High School, and I taught all sciences offered at the school. For the next eight years (2006-2014), I taught Biology at North Jackson High School. I was also co-sponsor for the Student Government Association and in charge of Homecoming. I transferred to Scottsboro Junior High School for the next two years, 2014-2016, where I taught 8th grade physical science and co-sponsored the Student Government Association. For the 2016-2017 school year, I taught AP Biology and Honors Anatomy and Physiology at Sparkman High School in Madison County. Now I am back home in the Jackson County School System at Woodville High School!
After graduating college, I worked in medical research for 10 years and also was co-owner of Talk of the Town Party Supplies and Rentals in Scottsboro for 3 years. I started teaching in 2005, and I married my husband, Wayne, in September of that same year. He is a retired Communications Officer from the Scottsboro Police Department. In July of 2008, we were blessed with our only daughter, Hannah Grace. She is now an eighth grader here at Woodville High School. In October of 2015, we added a new addition to our family - a spoiled rotten mini schnauzer named Lucy Kate. Since then, we have also added two cats, Midnight and Eevie. My family and I live in Scottsboro.
