I graduated from North Sand Mountain in 1994. I attended Northeast Alabama Community College for 2 years. After spending 2 years at NACC I transferred to Jacksonville State University where I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduating from JSU I began teaching at Bryant Jr. High School. I taught and coached girls and boys basketball at Bryant until 2005. Beginning in 2005 I was hired at North Sand Mountain High School.

In December of 2012 I married the wonderful Brooke Smith who also teaches at NSM. I also have 3 boys 14 year old Jack, 4 Year old Carter and 3 year old Brody.
