I have lived in Jackson County all of my life. I grew up on a farm in Hollywood, Alabama. After several years my father quit farming and we moved to my present home at Martintown. I am a member of the Scottsboro and Section Masonic Lodges, Eastern Star. I have been president of the Jackson County Education Association 10 times. I served two terms on the Jackson County Commission and one term on the EDA Board.
I have coached basketball for 29 years winning my 400 career win December 15, 2006 . I have have the pleasure of coaching three Alabama High School Sportswriters Class 1A player of the year at Paint Rock Valley High School. I have also coached baseball, softball, and track over the past 24 years. I enjoy working with our students at Section High School.
