Mrs. Susan Smith

I am married to David Smith, retired teacher from North Jackson High School.  We live in Stevenson, Alabama.  We have a farm full of animals; 4 horses, 3 dogs, 6 cats, and 38 chickens.  David and I never had our own children, but we feel like our students are ours!  We both have taught long enough to now be teaching our "grandchildren".

I graduated from Stevenson High School in 1985.  I participated in band, track, and basketball.  I then attended Northeast Alabama Community College and then Athens State College.  I started my teaching career at Richard Hardy Memorial School.  I taught middle school there for 15 years.  I then taught at Marion County High School (Foundations I & II and Algebra I & II) for 14 years and retired in Tennessee.

Three years ago I began teaching at North Sand Mountain High School.  I teach 7th and 8th grade math.  I love NSM and I love teaching middle school math.  I love being at NSM and hope to stay till I retire again!
