Hello! 

I am Ms. Ashley McCarver, and I am thrilled to be teaching at Stevenson Elementary School! I started teaching and teaching here in the 2020-2021 school year. I previously taught kindergarten, but now I am teaching 4th Grade Science and Social Studies. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from the University of Alabama in 2019. In 2023, I earned my second degree, a Master of Arts in Education, from there as well. I am certified in AMSTI, LETRS, and other science of reading areas. I believe these help me be an effective teacher. My goal is to spark passions in my students for the content I teach. When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with family, read, paint, and pull for my Alma Mater in sports.
